Terms of Service

Welcome to TinySteps. By creating an account or using the TinySteps mobile application (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

TinySteps provides parents with a daily, age-appropriate developmental activity for children aged 0-3 years. The App includes activity recommendations, session tracking, progress dashboards, and optional premium features available through a paid subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. The App is designed for use by parents and caregivers, not by children directly.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it as needed. Notify us promptly at support@tinystepsapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

TinySteps offers a free tier and an optional premium subscription ("TinySteps Premium"). Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and pricing:

• Monthly: $4.99 per month
• Annual: $29.99 per year

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings under Apple ID > Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the App.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including activity descriptions, research citations, illustrations, and text — is owned by TinySteps or used under license. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

7. Medical Disclaimer

TinySteps provides general developmental activities based on published research. The App is not a substitute for professional medical, therapeutic, or developmental advice. Activities are designed for typically developing children and may not be appropriate for every child. If you have concerns about your child's development, consult a qualified healthcare professional. We are not liable for any outcomes resulting from the use of activities suggested by the App.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings screen. Upon deletion, a 30-day grace period begins during which you can contact us to restore your account. After 30 days, all your data — including your profile, child information, and activity history — is permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for details on data retention.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TinySteps and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
